The most common types of sat nav systems fitted to Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Lancia and Maserati are RT3, RT4, RT5 and RT6 made by Magneti Marelli.
Common faults on these systems are frozen screens stuck on the boot logo, wrong software update, updating RT3 with the wrong software CD, faulty CD drive, no visible satellites, no radio signal, and many other faults.

I am in Portugal (Ex pat from UK) living in the Alentejo and do not have access to a main Peugeot dealer. I am trying to change the the language of my RT3 unit to English from Portuguese, unfortunately I don’t have the Engligh “Configuration” CD to do this. Are you able to supply one or let me know where I can get one online?

Hi All,
I have a RT3 with harddisk. The disk is buggy, therefore I bought a new one, and copied in Linux with dd, the entire disk. All 4 partitions including the boot sector were copied properly, and readable in Linux/Windows. However it won’t boot in the RT3. Any suggestions?

I have a 407 2.2 se coupe .My head unit takes in even parking sensors. Radio/sat .etc does not work and displays stayes frozen on the Peugeot logo all time. Also the sos button lights orange. Sometimes after a while screen gos black for few seconds and than back to frozen screen . Do you think you can fix it please?. I can send you photos of it if its better. thanks
I have a Citroen c5 2008 . The car worked fine until today. The screen is stuck on Citroen logo with please insert cd update and on the bottom of the screen appears 2.13 what can I do?!

Took my wife’s 308 hdi in to peugeot main dealer for a simple upgrade on the satnav. Got billed left right and centre for diagnostic tests that showed up the actual system was knackered. Wanted £550 to fix it or £2100 for a new one…found Karim… £200+ saved.
