About
One workshop, one specialism
Autotronics is an independent electronics workshop on the Costa Blanca in Spain, working exclusively on Peugeot and Citroën navigation and multimedia systems.
Our story
Autotronics began in 2009 when Karim, an electronics engineer, kept being asked to fix the one thing local garages and even main dealers would only ever replace: the Magneti Marelli sat-nav units in Peugeot and Citroën.
Word spread. What started as a bench in the corner became a workshop dedicated to a single family of faults — and a postbag that now arrives from across Europe, the UK, and as far as Australia and the Americas.
We have deliberately stayed small and focused. The same people diagnose your unit, repair it and test it, and you can talk to them directly. That is why a fifteen-year-old unit written off by a dealer often leaves here working better than it did when new.
What makes us different
We repair, we do not just swap
Failed capacitors, cracked solder joints, worn drive mechanisms and dead memory chips are replaced individually. Your unit keeps its coding.
We say no when we should
If a repair is not worth it, or the fault is elsewhere in the car, we tell you before you spend money on shipping.
We test under real load
Every unit runs on the bench for 24–72 hours, powered and exercised, before it is allowed to go back.
We stay reachable
One point of contact from first email to refitting help. No call centre, no ticket lottery.
On the bench
The tools behind a reliable repair.
- Hot-air and infrared rework stations for BGA and fine-pitch work
- Bench power supplies with current monitoring
- Reference vehicles and wiring harnesses for live testing
- CD/DVD mechanism spares and calibration tools
- Firmware and cartography programming equipment
- ESD-protected workstations throughout
